obsessive compulsive disorder

I believe that I am not only a clean freak... I may have obsessive compulsive disorder.

Its true!

For all of you that are married, you are going to relate with what I am talking about when I say that when you get married and start living with a man you learn a heck of a lot about life. My sweet husband has been laughing a lot at me lately and I will explain why. I HAVE to put things where they belong. I CANNOT walk out of a room without shutting all the closets and making sure that everything is in its place. The kitchen sinks and cabinets CANNOT be dirty with food and such and OMGoodness please put the pillows back on the couch when you get up!!!

Whew!

I lived by myself for quite a while before Andrew and I got married and was used to always just cleaning up after myself and then coming home to the clean little apartment that I left. When I got married, I kissed this concept goodbye. Don't get me wrong, Andrew is a tidy person, but his cleanliness doesn't compare to my obsessive cleaning habits. When we first got married he would leave his keys on the cabinet and when he left the room I would go and hang them up on the key hook... where they belong! 20 minutes later when he would be heading out the door he would search high and low for his keys and then finally ask, "Did you move my keys." And I would say, "Yeah, I put them up." He then adapted to my craziness and just always went looking for his stuff in the place that it belongs.

Here lately Andrew has made a game out of this. He has been hiding things and putting other things in odd place while leaving little sticky notes to remind me how CRAZY I am. I took a few pictures to show you what I am talking about.

Here is Andrew's way of putting up the remote controls...

Here is my way...

This is Andrew's way of making the bed (notice the bed post')...

Here is how Andrew leaves the bathroom...

And I will leave you with this picture. This is a sticky note that says, "Just say no to Twitter" from Andrew as he leaves for the gym while I do homework. He left the note on the internet modem... he disconnected the internet so that I would find his note. Thats pretty evil...

Rehearsal with Ms. Allison Krauss

So this past Sunday we, as in The Nashville Choir, has rehearsal downtown and Allison Krauss came to rehearse with us for our performance together at the Governors Prayer Breakfast! I sitting pretty close to the front and wanted to get a picture because the last time I spoke with her I didn't have my camera so I wasn't going to let this chance of proving my story get away from me... so I snuck a picture. This morning was the Governors Prayer Breakfast and it was such a treat to be a part of the event. To see community and state officials/mega-superstars like Scott Hamilton and Allison Krauss praise our Lord and Saviour is always a neat thing to experience. These events are becoming more rare as the years go on. Thank you Tennessee for remembering to pray for our country and our leaders!

Who are you praying for today?

Percy Priest Lake

This past weekend Andrew and I went fishing at Percy Priest Lake. We had a great time... well, at least I did! Andrew claims that he had to babysit me the entire time because I didn't want to put the worm on the hook or take the fish off the hook. It is not that I am just a girly-girl and can't handle that stuff... but y'all face it... worms are just gross! So here are some of the pictures. Did I mention that I caught three fish... and that Andrew caught none?

April Fools!

April 1st is not only April Fools day, but it is also the birthday of two of my dear friends, Hana and Melodie. I love both of these girls so very much and cannot wait to see what the Lord is going to do in their lives in the years to come. I was the hostess of a party for them at California Pizza Kitchen on the night of their birthday. I made them a cake AND cupcakes. Afterwards Hana went to Hotel Indigo and played a show... I wasn't able to go but I know Hana, and whenever she is performing... it is going to be AWESOME! I hope you guys had a great 22ND birthday! Love you both!
Here are some pictures of our night...

Free Voice Lesson?

So a friend of mine at Belmont sent me this today... it is the funniest thing I have ever seen! OK, maybe not the funniest thing... but it is close. Surely this girl is joking! Just watch and see... it will guarantee occasional chuckles.

You think you know, but you have no idea...

The theme of this years Session spring show was based off of MTV Diaries. The show was called our Session Diaries. The catch line of the show is, "You think you know but you have no idea..." So I directed three videos to show at our show in between songs. They turned out great. All of you non-Belmont people out there may not understand all of the inside "school of music" jokes in these videos but trust me- you will be entertained!

Enjoy =-)
