He Has Risen!

Another Easter has come and gone.  Another chance to give thanks to our Lord for saving us and giving us a chance at eternal life!

We had a pretty low key Easter this year.  Church, lunch, then an Easter egg hunt!  This was Selah's first year to hunt for eggs and it is safe to say that she LOVED every minute of it!  As she would made her way around the yard, so did Ginger.. right on the heels of Ms. Selah Grace.  Here are some pictures of our day.

I hope that you spent your Easter praising the one who created you :)

Waiting for her Daddy to hide all of the eggs

sweet little feet

still waiting...

loving on her little bunny

she didn't want to share her bunny...

we had quite a hard time trying to fit her dress in her carseat :)

Practice makes perfect

A local church put on an Easter egg hunt and we met up with some friends to take part in the festivities.  This was Selah's first attempt at egg hunting.  Practice makes perfect!  Most of the time Andrew ended up carrying her basket for her so that she could focus on fetching eggs.  Other times we had to pry the candy from her hands to put in her basket.  Once her little chubby toddler hands got on that candy... she didn't want to let it go in fear that it would disappear!

18 months old

Selah Grace is now 18 months old!  I cannot believe that she is growing up so fast!
Here are some things that she has been learning lately:
  • All the animal sounds
  • Object words like: shoes, milk, swing, etc...
  • She has learned how to brush her teeth
  • Saying, "please" when she wants or needs something
  • Having a conversation on the phone with her daddy and her grandparents
This little girl is such a joy.  18 months old has it's challenges but I find it really really fun!  It makes me happy and feel filled with pride when I see her learning and growing.  She is such a special little person.. and I am so blessed to be her Mom.

Spring has arrived

Spring has arrived early this year.  This is the first "spring" season for Andrew and I living in our house.  The previous homeowners left lots of things that have filled our yard with blooms.  We have apple trees in the backyard... and tulips in the front yard.  We have rosebushes that look ready to bloom and the Bradford pear trees in the front yard were covered in blooms just a few weeks ago.  Here are some pictures I have snagged of spring so far.

Family of Four!

My blogs these past couple of months have been more pictures than words because.. well frankly.. I am too wore out to type the words to go along with all the pictures.  I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves!  I will say that I am adjusting to have two kids around and doing better than I thought I would be doing at this point.  Not to be pessimistic... I was just assuming the worst.. in hopes that it would never get that bad.  :)
Andrew has been working a whole lot lately.. which means I am getting quite the crash-course in "Motherhood of Two".  My house is staying clean and I have even made several meals and trips to the store without any baby meltdowns.
Sterling had his two week appointment today and he is looking good! 9lbs 3.4oz and 21.5 inches long. Small head though.. only in the 11th percentile. I rewarded myself with a big ole piece of apple pie when I arrived home since I survived handling both children in a doctors office - by myself - for an hour and a half. I know that one day I will look back at this and laugh about it.. but today..I can't lie.. I really felt like superwoman.
Here are some pictures to help describe the past couple of weeks.. through my eyes.

Finally Home!

James Sterling Wagner was born on March 14, 2012 at 11:30am.  He was a whopping 9lbs 2.4oz and measuring 21 inches long.  I only pushed for about three whole minutes!!!
What an amazing little man he is!  I can't wait for everyone to meet him :)

We arrived home today from the hospital, so I took out my camera to capture some of our first moments home as a family of four.

Sterling's Baby Shower

I am currently 6 days away from being induced!  I have been in labor approximately 1.5 weeks with Mr. Sterling.  I. Am. So. Ready. For. His. Arrival!!!  Contractions 3-5 minutes apart.. for days.  I've been to the hospital twice and they have sent me home.. twice.  I am laboring but not dilating.
Sooo.. my Mom is in town and we are taking full advantage of all of this girl time!  Going to the mall, watching movies, painting our nails.. trying to take my mind off of labor pains.  Selah Grace is sure enjoying her company.  I may never let her go home :)

This past Sunday, two of my girlfriends threw me the most adorable baby shower.  It was beautiful and very thought out!

Here are some pictures from the shower:
