Our Valentine's Weekend started with my friend Melodie Malone's senior recital. She did great and had so many friends and family there to support her and celebrate her. I sang BGV's in her recital. And for those non-musicians out there, that simply means background vocalist. For the first 7 months of my relationship with Andrew, whenever I would say that I would get asked the question, what is a BGV? So I thought I should clarify.
Saturday morning we woke up and went to The Waffle House... upon Andrew's request. We got the all-star breakfast and gained 20 lbs.
After we left the Waffle House, we then headed to Wally-World to get our fishing licenses. (That is what Andrew wanted for Valentines day.) When we arrived we soon discovered that the first day to get a fishing license is Febuary the 28th of this year... sorry Andrew but you gotta wait! We live about 1 mile away for Percy Priest Lake and Andrew has been dying to go fishing and camping. After coming home and taking a very long 1 hour nap, Andrew came home from the gym and decided that instead of staying in and cooking (which we do every night.. I am a great wife) he wanted to go out. After we had a great meal, we decided to head to Mt. Juliet about four miles away to a a great movie theater in the Providence Shopping Center. We went and saw "He's just not that into you." It is clearly a chick-flick... but Andrew did enjoy it... even though he will not admit to this!
After the movie Andrew and I went home and he gave me a sweet card and a book called, "what i love about you". He had written all of these memories that he and I have shared and also all of the things that he loves about me... such a tear-jerker!
Sunday morning we went to church, came home, ate lunch, and then dove into the home-made cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries that Andrew made me.
I wish every weekend were this good...
